Pommies BBQ Pulled Pork

Nothing says summer like BBQ pulled pork... or a Pommies.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

FOR PORK
3 lbs. pork shoulder
12 oz of Pommies Cider
1 sweet onion sliced
1 cup of BBQ sauce
FOR BBQ SAUCE
1 cup ketchup
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
12 oz of Pommies Cider
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic power
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

DIRECTIONS:

TO MAKE BBQ SAUCE

Mix all ingredients together in a medium pan and bring to a boil.

Lower heat to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes.

Taste and adjust seasoning.

You can use the sauce immediately or refrigerate for a later time.

TO MAKE PORK

Place sliced onion on bottom of crockpot and top with prok shoulder.

Pour Pommies and BBQ sauce over pork.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

Remove pork and shred with two forks.

Enjoy as a sandwich or as part of your main dish.
