SOCIAL MEDIA AND EVENT COORDINATOR

Pommies Cider is one of the most recognizable craft brands in Ontario and we are happy to be family owned, 100% Canadian and independent.  We pride ourselves on the quality of our ciders, our team and consistently leading the way.  We are looking for someone to help us tell our stories; both in the digital space and the real world.

Digital Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement the Pommies’ Social Media strategy across platforms including overseeing campaign planning and reporting
  • Map out a social media / digital calendar and develop optimal posting schedule, considering customer engagement metrics and best practices
  • Ensure all key promotions and marketing campaigns come to life on social media, while educating customers about our cider
  • Curate and manage all published content (images, video and written)
  • Engage directly with the Pommies community – including customers, fans and influencers – across digital channels to drive positive sentiment, loyalty, and advocacy for the brand.
  • Exercise discretion and exhibit sound judgment and decision-making when engaging with customers
  • Report quarterly to management with data analytics and metrics across all social media platforms

Event Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain schedule of relevant events across Ontario
  • Work the Pommies Booth at events, including Beer/Cider festivals, food festivals, trade shows and charity/community events
  • Act as Brand Ambassador for Pommies – Engage with people and tell our story over a cider
  • Build ongoing relationships with key event/conference organizers
  • Quarterback the set up and tear down of the Pommies Booth
  • Will require some evenings and weekends (schedule will be outside standard business hours)

Qualifications:

  • University or College Degree (preferably in Marketing or Communications)
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms
  • Resident expert in social media-tools, trends and applications, new opportunities in the social media space, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Hootsuite Enterprise
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs and creative software
  • Passion for photography and video
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work as part of a team, but also complete individual work
  • Fun, energetic, responsible and creative with an empathetic balance
  • Detail orientated with the ability to multi task
  • Proven ability to manage positive relationships with customers
  • Excellent writing skills and experience drafting social posts, working with editorial and content calendars
  • Possesses proven sound editorial judgement and conflict resolution skills, recognizing opportunities and knowing when/how to act upon them – and recognizing no-win situations and knowing when not to engage.

OFFICE MANAGER

Pommies Cider Co. is growing and we’re looking for an Office Manager. Pommies is proud to be an independent, family owned craft cidery located in Caledon. This position will oversee a variety of tasks in the office, from day-to-day bookkeeping needs and payroll to the ordering of supplies, managing inventory, booking shipping and receiving, etc. This highly organized individual should be able to multi task, wear multiple hats and work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day bookkeeping for payables and receivables
  • Payment reconciliation, invoicing and inventory management
  • Order desk – receive orders and send invoice packages out daily to shipping company
  • Problem solve customer inquiries/feedback
  • Confirm POs and book shipping appointments for all shipments of goods, and create all corresponding paperwork/BOLs, etc.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse supplies inventory
  • Stay on top of all regulatory documentation and submissions required for the business

Requirements:

  • Proven office management and administrative experience
  • Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of accounting, preferably knowledge/experience using Quickbooks

PACKAGING HAND

Pommies Cider Co. is growing and we’re looking for a Packaging Hand. Pommies is proud to be an independent, family owned craft cidery located in Caledon, just north of Toronto.  We need someone who is hard working, honest, reliable and fits in well with our team. This is not a 9 – 5 job and the successful candidate must be OK with working flexible hours. Some long days may be required but conversely, we’ll respect your life work balance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with running Cask 5-head canning line
  • Assist with kegging, bottling and canning
  • General cidery duties and activities as required
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment
  • Machinery troubleshooting and maintenance as directed
  • Routine preventative maintenance
